Kamm & Sons is not like other spirits.  Although it is made in a similar way to gin (and also contains juniper berries), it has a total of 45 natural botanicals, the main ingredients are ginseng, fresh grapefruit peels and manuka honey. It is blended to a lighter 33% abv. (Most spirits are 40% or stronger.)
Kamm & Sons has a unique and quite special taste which is hard to describe…but here goes anyway: Fresh and citrusy on the nose with light floral/anise and juniper notes, its palate is sweet, rich and herbal, finally ending with a long, honeyed bitterness. Mmmm!
Historically, many medicines were based on alcohol infused with natural botanicals as the alcohol extracts the active ingredients in the botanicals, preserves them and delivers the required benefit effectively into the blood-stream (this was the theory behind gin and bitters).
Kamm & Sons was inspired by this history and was created to be a unique, versatile and delicious spirit that has a lighter alcohol content than the regular 40%abv.
Created in Highbury, North London. Distilled and bottled in Clapham, South London.

Kamm & Sons is distilled in the same way as gin. 4 types of ginseng root (Red Korean, White Panax, Siberian, American) are added to a small pot-still along with freshly peeled grapefruits and 41 other botanicals* (including Echinacea, Ginko Biloba and Goji berries) and distilled with 100% grain spirit.
This distillate is then added to a herbal infusion (containing manuka honey, wormwood and gentian) and blended with annatto seeds (for colour), water and a touch of sugar to 33% ABV.
